Open Mic: Every 3rd & 4th Mondays of each month

The artform of poetry, rhythm, and consciousness will never die despite the commercial hooks that have ensnared hip-hop. FAN would like to spark and nurture a safe, fun, but most importantly sustainable community of poets and lyricists. Our goal is to train for the largest Slam Poetry competition in the world-- Louder Than A Bomb (LTAB), which takes place every spring in Chicago.

This 16-week session will explore several mediums of art and design resulting in pieces to be submitting to the retail industry for fashion design/ selling

All too often artists create without a vision for generating an income in an ever-changing marketplace. FAN seeks out viable entities that turn design into saleable pieces of fashion. The two entities that we will be submitting to these first semester are Vida & Co. and Bucketfeet. There will also be a gallery showing with an opportunity to sell artwork.
